Getting here

Parking is across the street from the church on the corner of 5th and Broad Streets. Greeters will be stationed outside and inside the sanctuary annex to provide you a bulletin and answer any questions. Please note that our historic sanctuary is unusual in that the "front" doors of the church lead to the narthex behind the pulpit and to the balcony. See the map here on navigating to the back entrance to the sanctuary.

Have children? Worship is for the whole family. We encourage families to train their children to worship with the whole church as early as they can in life. There is no separate children’s church or children’s sermons. We do have a well-staffed nursery for children ages 5 and under. We also have children and youth Sunday School options available. See our Children's ministry page for more info.

What to expect

Worship is the reason for which we were created in the image of God. Worship is how we begin to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Therefore, corporate worship on Sunday is central to our life as a community. It reminds us of who we are in Christ and reorients us toward a biblical worldview over against the competing worldviews within a secular culture. Our worship service follows a historic liturgy in which we dialogue with God. God calls us through the preaching of His written word, and we respond in worship through prayer, congregational singing, and confession of faith. The service includes a call to worship, prayers, confessions, Scripture readings, songs, then culminates in a sermon and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper (on the first Sunday morning of each month).
The music consists of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs either from the Trinity Hymnal or other quality resources. We use mostly a piano and/or organ to accompany the singing, though on occasions we have also used other instrumentation. We use the Bible throughout the service and the preaching will always be an exposition of a portion of Scripture. Above all, we strive for the Biblical characteristics of simplicity, reverence, and joy. Services usually last between 60-75 minutes.

We invite you to stay after service for a time of fellowship and Sunday School. If you have any questions, please contact us.
